I am not a pessimist. A cynic is something different. A cynic, in my vast experience, is an idealist who has been disappointed at least one time too many. She may keep hoping things will work out, but the hope is tempered with harsh realism. I have been blessed with many wonderful people and even some successes in my life. But at the end of the day, I come home alone to chubby cat. At least she is glad to see me.

Or maybe she's just hungry.
