Two Fig Newtons weren't enough.
Eight was definitely too many.
I need to lie down and moan now.
*garf*
Posted by cynical at September 29, 2006 04:04 PMYou went to that place on fig newtons? Were there no brownies lying about?
Posted by: Karan on September 29, 2006 04:33 PMFig Newtons? How can you eat those? EEEeeeeEEewww.
Posted by: educand on September 29, 2006 04:36 PMKaran: What place do you mean? Newton, Mass? I go there all the time, and I've never seen either a brownie or a Fig Newton lying about. They don't even make Newtons in Newton any more.
Educand: Are you SERIOUS? Fig Newtons are the best store-bought cookie EVAR.
Posted by: cynical on September 29, 2006 05:02 PM2 is not enough and 8 is too many so I reckon 4 would be just right. Whatcha think?
Posted by: chapin on September 29, 2006 05:40 PMOh, sure. NOW she tells me.
Posted by: cynical on September 29, 2006 06:10 PMI am in complete agreement with chapin; four is the optimal number of Fig Newtons.
I have been a life-long lover of the ooey-gooey rich-and-chewy inside, golden-cakey, tender-flakey outside treat. I know from whence I speak.
Posted by: Brian on September 29, 2006 08:30 PMI'm with educand ... EW on the Fig Newton (ew ew ew)
Posted by: shelley (not-so-cynical) on September 29, 2006 09:19 PMFig Newtons. Hmmm. Are they like martinis? "One is too many, two is not enough. Two I'm under the table, three I'm under the host."
Posted by: DogsDontPurr on September 30, 2006 12:14 AMOreos and Milk are the best cookie combination....Why would I want to eat a cookie that might possibly contain something good for me?
Posted by: Woody on October 2, 2006 12:26 PMI'm with educand and S(NSC)...yuck! Maybe one of those alternative-newtons? I just dont know. Oh...and Happy New Year. Sorry its late...I havent been to blogville in a while...
Posted by: meg on October 2, 2006 11:11 PMFig Newtons are yummy. Well, the US version is, the Canadian version is weird. And, um, I can eat a whole pack (15 cookies?) in one sitting without blinking an eye nor a twitch in the tummy.
Posted by: deborah on October 4, 2006 01:32 PMIt's hard to know where to draw the line.
And hey, who would have guessed there were different versions of Fig Newtons in the US and Canada?
Posted by: Chris on October 6, 2006 11:43 AMWhere oh where has the Cynical one gone...
Oh where oh where could she be?
Hmm, sounds like a loss of consciousness kicks in after the second Fig Newton, and who knows where you'll end up.
