I turned 42 last week. That was a good thing. I also realized last week, after more than seven years, that my supervisor really doesn't appreciate the value of what I bring to my job and my organization.
That was a crappy thing.

good - after 15 long months, my brother is coming home from Iraq next week!
crappy - I didn't stick up for myself during a tricky situation at work today and I feel weak. But I did do some damage control after the fact ... always after the fact ...

No meetings. Nothing. I'm weary with anticipation and weary with...well...weariness from all the waiting.
